The shape of the foot also plays an important role. It is specially designed to ensure a perfect seam. Thanks to this foot shape, the fabric is pressed properly, making the seam even and aesthetically pleasing.
This optimal pressing of the material is crucial, especially when joining thin or flexible fabrics that can easily shift during sewing.
Two sewing edges of 1/4 and 1/8 inch
The patchwork foot also has two different sewing edges: 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch. These markings help to keep the edges of the fabrics properly spaced, which is extremely important when creating patchwork blocks and patterns.
With these edges, you can precisely control the distance from the seam to the edge of the fabric, leading to perfectly sized patchwork pieces.
MATIC quick attachment system
The foot fits all Archer machines from the current sales range. The foot is designed for most home sewing machines with MATIC quick-attachment handle. For older machines that do not have a snap-onholder , it is necessary to install it.
